Ann Norman I’m Ann Norman. Coming from a fundamentalist Christian background, I now identify as an atheist and a humanist. I was one of the main organizers of the 2014 PA Atheist/Humanist Conference, held in Pittsburgh. I am one of the original members of Sunday Assembly Pittsburgh and was a board member for a time. I am a volunteer human rights worker, formerly with the Thai Alliance for Human Rights and now with Act4Dem, mostly fighting the Thai lese majesty law, which is an anti-blasphemy law, and helping the victims of that law, including Thai lese majesty prisoners and refugees. I’ve worked on the successful campaigns to Free Waen (Mewangpla), Free Prawet Prapanukul, and #SaveFaiyen, and continue to demand justice for a set of 9 Thai lese majesty refugees assassinated over the period 2016 to 2020. |
