The December program will focus on understanding and celebrating the
synergy that can result when different groups of congregants interested in
humanism, racial justice, and religious education work together. This co-
creative space seeks to illuminate otros saberes, or the centering of other
types of knowing. We situate the significance of meaningful relationships
and consider transgressing notions of what is and can be in spiritual life, in
the context of higher education humanist chaplaincy.
Anthony Cruz Pantojas (they/he/elle/el) is a graduate of both Meadville
Lombard Theological School and Andover Newton Theological School,
earning master’s degrees in Leadership and Humanist Studies and
Theological Studies, respectively. In this capacity, Anthony supports the
development and sustainability of ethical inquiry through co-constructed
projects with the campus community. The program Anthony leads was
cited by the American Humanist Association when Tufts was awarded its
2022 University Award for Philosophical Diversity.
