2023 PFC Annual Shrimp Boil


The PFC 16th Annual Shrimp Boil picnic will be on Sunday, August 13th
This year we’re hosting a family-style picnic, including leisure activities, a creating laughter event led by member Julie Ann Sullivan, an optional short hike, and an optional (additional cost) kayak outing. So come on out and join your fellow Freethinkers for an afternoon of food, leisure, laughter, conversation, and activities.

Please register by August 10th.

Where: North Park - Donnevale Pavilion, Allison Park, Hampton Township, PA 15101

When: Sunday, August 13th, Noon to 6 pm, with food served around 1:00 pm.  


Water will be available.
Bring your own beverage if you want something else.

Alcoholic beverages are permitted in non-glass containers.


On the Menu:  Boiled E-Z peel shrimp, corn on the cob, andouille sausage, potatoes, bread and butter.  Dessert will be provided (likely to be homemade bread pudding with rum sauce). For vegetarian or vegan needs, contact julieann@julieannsullivan.com.

Cost:
$10 - Adult PFC member and for each adult guests
$10 - Ages 13 - 17
$5 - Ages 6 - 12
Free - Ages 5 and under
$20 - Adult non-member (Regular membership starts at $20 - Join here!)

A swing, playground, hiking path, and running water are available at the pavilion.  Restrooms with running water are very nearby.

Optional: Kayak rentals (at your cost) will be available. For those interested, we will be heading to the nearby North Park Boathouse sometime after lunch (time TBD).
