"He Gets Us" is an American religious advertising campaign formerly operated by the Servant Foundation.^[1] First launched in 2022, the campaign's stated goal is to "reintroduce people to the Jesus of the Bible".^[2]

This session will focus on your thoughts regarding the ads and the overall campaign.   To prepare, please look at the Wikipedia entry and at least some of the ads.

• What do you think of the "He" character in the ads?  
• How well do you think "He" matches Jesus in the Bible?
• How well does "He" match Christianity, as presently practiced in America?  
• Who are the ads targeted to?  Christian Nationalists, Evangelicals, "mainline" Christians, young adults, non-Christians, Freethinkers, Atheists?
• Are the messages of these ads consistent with the behaviors of its funders?  
• What is the impact of the ads and do you think the funders are getting a good return on their investment?
• How should the Freethinker community respond?
