Not sure if this is the correct place  to recommend a book for the book club.

My apologies if not, but  here it goes.

'The Poisonwood Bible' By Barbara Kingsolver.

Admittedly I am half way thru it but I highly recommend this book.  Not only is she one of the best authors (my humble opinion),  this  book gives insight to the lives of missionaries and their families without religious baggage.

And as an added bonus, for me anyways, it has allowed me to step back from my feeling religion is 'stupid'.  Especially when looking at tribal beliefs in God.

Lastly is is a very good read that will make you both laugh and cry.
