Join local PFC & AHA members at the live, American Humanist Association's 2019 Annual Conference kickoff session held here in Pittsburgh at Carnegie Mellon University.

Don’t miss informative sessions on humanism, science, social justice, the First Amendment, and more! Plus, opportunities to network and socialize with fellow humanists, distinguished speakers, and celebrity guests.

Also join our "watch parties" (also at CMU) where we'll gather informally to snack, eat, hydrate and watch the conference events live-streamed from the other 4 university locations on Friday afternoon and Saturday.

SCHEDULE:
Join us in person Friday June 7 beginning at 9am when our own PFC Board member and leader of the CMU Humanist Initiative, Prof. Andy Norman opens the 2019 AHA Conference! Featuring 2 other speakers as well as a panel discussion, this in-person session will conclude at 1pm following Dr. Pamela Gay's acceptance of the Isaac Asimov Science award and Salman Rushdie's (recorded) acceptance of the AHA's "Humanist of the Year" award.

At the conclusion of the live session, join us at PFC's informal watch party in a nearby room at CMU where we'll live-stream the afternoon session being held live at Rice University.

Return to CMU on Saturday to join our watch parties, where we'll live stream the Saturday AHA Conference sessions - Medgar Evers College beginning at 9am followed by the afternoon session from Pitzer College.

The PFC watch parties will be informal, feel free to wander in and out as your schedule allows. If you cannot attend the live kickoff at CMU, or watch in person with us, register on the AHA website and livestream to your own device to watch the Conference.

Note : PFC will NOT be holding a watch party for the final AHA Conference session on Sunday morning (conflict with Pittsburgh PRIDE events) but anyone interested in personally live-streaming this session can register at the AHA website as described above.
