Education Not Discrimination is a day-long virtual workshop aimed at high school students in 10 counties of Southwest Pennsylvania. This workshop will explore 9 different areas in which education is inequitable, unequal, and discriminatory. As this organization focuses on education and/or equity, we, as a committee, hope you would be willing to help us promote our event.

As you are probably aware, there are an incredible amount of problems that need to be addressed within the education sector and while we, as students, cannot reform the education system itself, we can educate ourselves on the problems of equity and diversity within our schools. We hope you will assist us in outreach in order to get as many students as possible to educate yourself on topics that plague us on an everyday basis.

Just a little more about the event, we will have a keynote in the beginning of the day, led by the University of Pittsburgh’s School of Education Dean, Valerie Kinloch. Additionally, we will have a panel of politicians from Pennsylvania who will answer questions that the students have.
