Freethought Freeform with PA State Rep. Emily Kinkead
Host: David B
PA State Representative Emily Kinkead is one of only 3 Pennsylvania state legislators and one of only ~75 current federal or state legislators with the courage to be listed in the Center for Freethought Equality's Humanist, Atheist, Agnostic and Nonreligious Elected Officials, where she identifies as "cultural Christian".
Since 2020, Representative Kinkead has represented the 20th Legislative District -- Ross Township, Bellevue Borough, Avalon Borough, West View Borough, and parts of the City of Pittsburgh.
We are "over the moon" that Rep. Kinkead has graciously agreed to present at our April Freethought Freeform event. She will talk about being a legislator with secular values, her legislative priorities, and suggestions for how we may advocate for secular causes. Most of this session will be devoted to Q&A, so please start thinking about your questions. If you wish, you may send questions now to info@pghfreethought.org.
Freethought Freeform is a variable format event that can be a group discussion, an interview, a tutorial, a movie discussion, a show-and-tell, an in-person event, or maybe something different. It may feature an invited speaker, or maybe it won't. Topic and format will be chosen monthly by the host with inputs from the PFC community. Email your suggestions to info@pghfreethought.org.
