Fall Foliage Hike at Boyce Mayview Park

Trail access parking lot near Ardolino’s pizza

1141 Boyce Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15241

(Upper St Clair Township)

Host: Rob de Cortie

Sun, Oct 20, 10 am - Noon

Identification: Rob will display a sign "PFC Hike"

Come join us for a Fall foliage hike at Boyce Mayview Park, located in Upper St. Clair township, south of Pittsburgh. The 500-acre park offers many different types of habitats such as wetlands, fields, creeks, and stream valleys, in addition to developed areas like hiking trails, playgrounds, multipurpose fields and active vegetable gardens.

Starting at 10 am at the trail access point near Ardolino's Pizza, we will be doing a 5-mile loop that has a bit of everything: flat, uphill and downhill, paved and unpaved, wooded and open. It is considered a moderate hike with minor elevation change (total +/- 575 feet)

Bring sturdy shoes that are ready for (potentially) muddy or wet conditions. Otherwise, dress appropriately to the weather conditions.  The hike is expected to take between 1-5 – 2 hours; afterwards for those interested, we will go for lunch at a local Panera’s or other restaurant.
